The Junior Squad

Junior Outdoor Championships 2011

Grand Western Archery Society held the Inter Counties junior Outdoor Championships at Burnham on Sea on Saturday 4th September 2011.

 

Of the team, six juniors were selected from The Bowmen of Danesfield in Williton, to shoot for Somerset against, Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.



The tournament started at 10a.m and finished at 5.00p.m. with the weather hot and sunny.

 

From Danesfield were
Amy and Daisy Pollard, Prosper Simmons, Rupert Smith, Max Milliship and Heidi
Coombs.



Somerset came second overall.



A fabulous achievement for our junior club, the squad really have been working hard, and were overjoyed to be selected and to have come in second.

Our teams always welcome new members.

 

Seniors:

The group may be a little older than some, but they're still just as active and motivated! Our veterans team shoot regularly at the club and representing the club. Some shoot everyday !

 

Youth teams:

We're particularly proud of our youth team. We train our young archers using the best equipment and state-of-the-art training techniques so that they are always ready for action as well as being motivated and eager to shoot to the best of their abilities.
