Membership of the club comes in two parts.
A Membership Fee which covers your insurance and other benefits
and Shooting Fees to cover the range costs.
Both parts form your membership of the club.

How to Join and Start Shooting
Joining the Bowmen of Danesfield where Safety and competency are essential. That’s why all new members, regardless of experience, must demonstrate they can shoot safely before joining the shooting line.
To ensure this:
- Newcomers must complete our induction and beginners sessions, or show proof of completing an Archery GB-recognised beginner course at another club.
- Alternatively, experienced archers may be asked to provide evidence of their prior membership and shooting ability.
Once you complete the induction, you’ll receive a certificate confirming you’re qualified to shoot safely and competently alongside fellow club members.

Membership and other fees
Club Membership
The membership fee includes membership of Bowmen of Danesfield (BOD), Somerset County Archery Association (SCAA), Grand Western Archery Society (GWAS), and Archery GB (AGB). This covers your insurance via Archery GB.

For members who are already members of Archery GB (AGB) and wish to shoot regularly at the club, they can become a Club Associate | £40 |
Shooting Fees
Senior/Disabled/Associates
Paid monthly £12 – Annual cost = £144
Paid quarterly £31 – A discount of £20
Paid Annually £104 – A discount of £40.

Paid monthly £9.00 – Annual cost = £108
Paid quarterly £22 – A discount of £20
Paid Annually £68 – A discount of £40.
Each additional Junior Member from the same family would receive a 50% reduction in their shooting fees.
Guest Archers
Donation amount of your choosing
Max 5 sessions within a twelve-month period after that you would be required to join as an associate.
Guests must be members of Archery GB
Other Charges
Have-a-Go events
Shot at public events £5.00 for 6 arrows. Plus three practice arrows i.e fetes.
Field Archery at Halsway Manor – When available.
£5.00 per session.
