Club Competition
Handicapped Danesfield RoundSunday 7th September
Our annual Fun shoot and BBQ is just around the corner and this year we will also be holding a Danesfield Round Competition in the morning
What is the Club Danesfield Round Competition?
We have long thought about having our own round, and we are now ready with the Danesfields Round.
The Club Danesfield Round Handicapped Competition is a great opportunity for our members of all levels to challenge themselves and each other. Here’s what you need to know:
Format: A Danesfield round consists of 7 dozen arrows, i.e. 14 ends of 6 arrows shot at your chosen distance. and six sighters.
Distances: Choose from 20 or 40 yards—whatever you’re most comfortable with or ready to challenge yourself on.
Targets: You’ll be aiming at a 122cm face, with scoring based on the standard 5-zone system.
All Levels Welcome: Whether you’re a seasoned archer or just getting started, this competition is for everyone. With different distances available, you can pick the one that suits your skills best.
Bow Type: Although it is a Handicapped competition prizes will be awarded by bow type, so whether you shoot Longbow, recurve or barebow, there’s a category that should suit you.
Junior Archers: We haven’t forgotten our up-and-coming archers! There will be special prizes for juniors, so encourage the younger members to join in the fun.
Assembly Time: 9:30 AM – Please arrive on time to set up, warm up, and get ready for the competition.
Start Time: 10:00 AM sharp – We aim to start promptly, so make sure you’re ready to go!
Entries: Archers are requested to complete the Danesfield Round entry form on the normal booking form. This enables us to set up the range with the correct number of targets at the right distances.
The Fun Shoot and BBQ
Once scores have been calculated, prizes will be awarded, and you can then get ready for a fun afternoon of archery games and, of course, the BBQ.
Don’t forget to bring your family and friends
